DIY - Personalized Tray

Want an easy way to personalize a simple gift?

With only a couple things from the art store you'll have a cute personalized tray. I created my design on Canva, but good news for you, I created a printable that you can use at home to create this 3D monogram look, linked here.

The supplies you'll need are as follows:

Tray or item to personalize, I used this one found at Target

Paint pens (I really like Posca markers)

Transfer paper (Saral is my preferred brand)

Tape (Artist Tape is great tape to have on hand for art projects)

First figure out your design - feel free to use the pre-made alphabet, linked here. Once you decide on your design, tape the top of the design in the desired location on your tray or piece.

Flip up your print out and place your transfer paper dark side facing the tray. Flip your paper back down. Using a ball point pen, trace over your design with even pressure.

If you don't see your design, make sure your transfer paper is oriented correctly, and also you could try using more pressure when tracing.

Once your design is transferred to your tray, use your paint pens to create your design, allowing the first color to dry first!

Enjoy your new tray or get it ready for gifting!
