Bourbon Projects

These bourbon-inspired collections celebrate craftsmanship and heritage, offering an elegant nod to the culture of fine spirits.

Woodford Reserve is known for its craftsmanship, heritage, and iconic distillery experience. To celebrate the brand’s history and deepen visitor connection to place, Woodford Reserve hired Maizie Clarke to create a series of custom illustrations highlighting a vintage recipe alongside scenes from throughout the distillery grounds.

Designed as a cohesive collection, the artwork captures both the story behind the recipe and the atmosphere of the distillery—translating Woodford Reserve’s legacy into illustrations that feel timeless, giftable, and distinctly rooted in the brand.

Bluegrass Distillers commissioned Maizie Clarke to create a series of custom illustrations inspired by scenes from around their distillery grounds. Designed to celebrate the personality and charm of the property, the collection captures the distillery experience through place-based storytelling—highlighting the details visitors notice, remember, and love.

As a special feature of the project, Maizie also illustrated the distillery cat, Tipsy, adding a playful and personal element that makes the collection feel uniquely Bluegrass.

Jim Beam is one of the most iconic names in American bourbon, with a distillery experience rooted in history, place, and tradition. To support branded retail and visitor-facing materials, Maizie Clarke created a custom illustration of the front of the Jim Beam distillery.

Designed to feel timeless and recognizable, the illustration was used across stationery and distillery gift shop products—offering guests a meaningful keepsake connected directly to the destination.

Blade and Bow is a bourbon brand known for its heritage-driven storytelling and elevated visitor experience. To create a memorable takeaway for guests, Maizie designed a custom embossed pouch used in the Blade and Bow tasting room for visitors to bring home their tasting glass.

The pouch was designed as a small, premium object that feels intentional and keepsake-worthy—extending the experience beyond the tasting room and into the visitor’s home bar.

Evan Williams is a storied bourbon brand with a welcoming, visitor-forward distillery experience. To create a fun and memorable retail offering for guests, Maizie designed an illustrated product collection featuring charming artwork paired with playful sayings.

Created specifically for the distillery shop, the collection was designed to feel lighthearted, giftable, and easy to connect with—giving visitors a keepsake that captures the spirit of the experience.

The goal was to create a merchandise collection that visitors would be excited to pick up during or after their tour—something that felt distinctly Evan Williams while bringing a fresh, fun energy to the gift shop.

Maizie Clarke LLC worked with Pappy & Co.to create brand illustrations that brings tradition and modern gifting together in a distinctive way.

Maizie created illustration-driven designs featuring bourbon bottles and vintage label-inspired details, capturing the nostalgic charm and collector spirit at the heart of Pappy & Co.

The goal was to develop artwork that felt authentic to bourbon culture while aligning with Pappy & Co.’s refined, giftable aesthetic. The illustrations needed to evoke heritage and storytelling—while remaining versatile enough to live across multiple product categories.

Jefferson’s Bourbon commissioned Maizie to create a set of custom illustrations celebrating two signature parts of the brand experience: their bourbon bottles and a vintage Ford 150 featured at their distillery. Designed to feel both classic and approachable, the artwork captures the spirit of Jefferson’s—heritage-driven, memorable, and rooted in place.

The illustrations were developed as versatile assets that could be used across merchandise and gift shop items, giving visitors and fans a collectible way to take home a piece of the distillery experience.
