'In the Kitchen' with Maizie Clarke and Chef Wes: Pancetta & Fig Flatbread
Episode 3 takes us into the possibilities of flatbreads! Watch as Chef Wes leads us in creating a delicious, savory, pancetta and fig flatbread.
Episode 3: Pancetta & Fig Flatbread Recipe: (Serves 2)
- 2 naan flat breads or 4 of the smaller size
- 1 jar of fig butter
- 2 medium onions that have been caramelized. ( slow cooked in olive oil or butter until light brown over medium low heat)
- A few thin slices of prosciutto or pancetta, crumbled. (If using pancetta crisp it up a bit in the oven first)
- 3/4 to 1 cup of your favorite creamy cheese, crumbled. ( blue cheese or Gorgonzola is the best but can also use crumbled goat cheese or feta)
To Assemble:
On a parchment or foil lined baking sheet lay your naan flatbread. Spread each with a generous amount of fig butter. Top with remaining ingredients. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 12-15 just until nice and hot and slightly crisp on edges. Cut and serve! Enjoy!
